Small Pantry Organization

In today's video we are doing some SMALL PANTRY ORGANIZING! Unless you are lucky enough to have one of those big beautiful pantries, you struggle with having enough space not only to store extra food supplies but also struggle to store small kitchen appliances. I have a very small kitchen so my pantry space is really limited. We have a very small designated pantry closet next to the refrigerator for our food storage and then we have another pantry cabinet on the other side of the kitchen. Today we re-organize both!

With new clear bins I am able to see exactly which is easier on the budget because I only buy what I really need.

Mason jars are one of my favorite organizing tools around the house.  They can be used to contain so many things, bathroom items, craft supplies and baking supplies!

There are even more details in the video below!

Craft Room Organization With Dollar Tree and Target!

In today’s video we are re-organizing the craft room using some DOLLAR TREE & Target STORAGE SOLUTIONS and we are beginning a new SPRING FEVER SERIES all about getting our homes clean and organized for spring TOGETHER!

My CRAFT ROOM/OFFICE is a hard working space. This is where I am the most creative, where I work on DIY's and do projects with my kids.

Although I have a cube & bin system to hold all of my craft tools and supplies, I find that I still need to find storage solutions to keep it all sorted by project and to keep like items together.

Target and The Dollar Tree have always been my go to places to find budget friendly solutions to my storage needs, even if I need to think OUT of the box a bit!

This Dollar Tree dish rack can be used so many different ways! Organizing office supplies, files or, as I'm going to use it, to hold my vinyl for my Cricut Machine.

To see how I use more Dollar Tree items, be sure to watch the video below!

Over the next few week I will be uploading videos organizing rooms in my HOME just in time for SPRING. In this SPRING FEVER SERIES I hope we can motivate each other to get a head start cleaning and organizing our homes before spring hits and so many fun activities take you away from home.

I will also be posting photos, tips and products that I am using to help me reach my goal over on the MY BASHFUL LIFE FACEBOOK page. To follow along, click this LINK to my FACEBOOK and join the fun. I would love for all of you to post photos of your projects and any tips you have to organize the spaces in your HOME

Laundry Room Organization and Clean With ME

In today's Decluter, Organizing and Clean With Me Video we are in the laundry room!

Our laundry room is a really hard working space! This room is only 5'x6' and plays a big roll in our family as the landing spot as we come in and go out everyday, where we do our laundry and where we store our cleaning supplies.

This also seems to be the landing spot for anything heading out the door and can get very messy very quickly.

So today we are going to clean this space out, sort through it all and get ourselves back on track with a clean organized space!

Watch the video below for more detail!

Grocery, Rae Dunn & Target Haul Kitchen Organization and Chicken Recipe!

Hey Everybody!  Today we are celebrating a Snow Day with a Rae Dunn, Grocery and Target Haul, I share a great kitchen organization project and as always, a great dinner recipe!

I thought I would start today with my exciting OOTD!  We had ice earlier this morning so I am dressed for the weather in my new coat from Columbia, not favorite Target jeans and my Franco Sarto booties.

I headed out to my local grocery store with a list of meals I wanted to make this week and to have on hand for the upcoming weekend.

I got so many questions last week after my Pantry Organization video about how I store my canned goods and dry goods.  So since I was putting away the groceries I thought I would share how I use 1/2 gallon Mason jars to store things like pasta and rice.

How cute are these new Rae Dunn pieces that I found at Home Goods today?

Best way to end the day is with a good meal!  I love a great chicken recipe and this Saucy Chicken is not only simple but delicious!

Saucy Chicken Recipe ************************ 2-3lbs of boneless chicken breast S/P 1/2 tsp paprika 1 cup sour cream 2 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp Mrs Dash 1 tsp parsley flakes 1 cup shredded cheese or grated Romano cheese Place chicken in a prepared baking dish. Season with salt pepper and paprika to taste. In a bowl mix remaining ingredients and spread on top of chicken. Bake in a 375 oven for an hour or until chicken is cooked through. Place under the broiler for a few minutes watching closely until browned and serve over rice.

Simple Linen Closet Organization

In this declutter and organizing video we are tackling the linen closet!  This is on of the spots in my home that is a continuing struggle to keep neat because it holds way more then just linens!

For organizing in this closet, I have utilized some colorful bins from the dollar tree and some white bins form Target.  Although I like the idea of separating all of our products, the Dollar Tree baskets are way too small and become over stuffed too easily.

The white bins are really a great size and I like the white color in a linen closet because it just makes everything clean an bright!

I am very happy with the way this project turned out and I think by reducing what we have and donating what we no longer need has been the key to creating a space that functions easily and suits the needs of our family.

For more details on this project, check out the video below!

I did not want to spend a lot of money o this project so I went to Walmart to find some budget friendly food containers and some kind of solution for those awful wire shelves!

We all have spots in our homes that are an organizing challenge and in this series we are going to find some problem solving solutions to create functional spaces for our families!

Erin Condren Virginia Store Tour & Haul

Today I take you along with me as we visit the new Erin Condren store in Fairfax Va!  I have been a planner girl since forever ago and Erin Condren Life Planners have been my Go To organizer since 2014.  The store is located in the Mosaic District in Fairfax VA just outside of D.C. and about an hour from my house.

It was so exciting to be able to experience first hand all the products that I have only seen on line.

The store is beautiful and decorated in Erin's signature bright colors.

It had areas for planner meet ups or just little spots to sit and visit.

This is the only Erin Condren store in Virginia and it featured some exclusive Virginia merchandise that is exclusive to this store.

I have always loved the positive message that rings throughout Erin Condren's products; Life is to be lived intentionally and celebrated!

I have scheduled many new planning videos in the new year, planning is a part of my everyday life and I feel is one of the greatest organizing tools.  To save $10 on your own Erin Condren Life Planner use this LINK

5 Habits of Keeping A Clean Home

When I was a young mom I use to think there was a big secret to keeping a home cleaned and organized, a secret I just didn't know yet.  It took me some time to realize that there really isn't some type of secret formula to keeping a house clean it's really just creating habits for yourself that when they are done everyday creates a routine that keeps your home picked up and clean.  I think routines are essential for so many aspects of our lives but especially for our homes.  It is so important to create an atmosphere that is calm and as stress free as possible. I think the key is allowing ourselves enough time to get these jobs done throughout our day.  Even if completing one job is the only thing completed all day, it is an accomplishment that puts you ahead instead of running behind. I have created these habits for myself to help keep my home clean and organized!

     1. Make the beds everyday.  This job takes maybe 3 minutes to complete but it is the job that once completed, sets the stage for success for the rest of the day.
     2.  Wipe down the bathrooms.  Most days is just wiping toothpaste off the mirror, swishing the toilet, putting out a clean hand towel and clearing off the counter tops.  The bathroom is ready for the family at the end of the day and should an unexpected guest pops in for a visit, the bathroom is fresh and clean.
     3.  Wash the dishes everyday.  Never put off doing the dishes until later or the next morning.  If you have time, wipe off the counter tops now and put everything away.
     4.  Take out your trash and recyclables.  This is really very simple, if the trash is full, take it out.  Empty the trash cans in the bathrooms and bedrooms in your home.  Don't let the recyclables pile up on the counter, put them in the recycle bin through out the day.  Not only will this keep you kitchen clean but it will help it smell clean too.
     5.  Do a load of laundry everyday.  Don't let the laundry pile up so everyone runs out of clothes.  The more you can keep up with the laundry the less clothes and towels the family will need which will help keep your home neat and organized

These are the 5 habits that I have created for myself to do everyday.  Most days these are completed easily and some days I am happy to have made my bed!  Check out the video for more info!

Homemade Febreze

Did you know that you can make your own room refreshener?  Well, you can and you probably have everything you would need in your house right now!  If you have kids and pets you probably use a much febreze that I do.  Making your own room refreshener is super easy, always smells great and even will save you a few bucks or two.

Homemade FEBREZE

2 tablespoons of laundry scent boosters
Empty spray container
Hot tap water

In your empty spray container pour about 2 tablespoons of laundry scent boosters.  Fill the spray bottle with hot tap water. Shake and let sit for 10 minutes until the boosters have dissolved.

Can't get much easier then that!  Please leave me a comment and let me know if you give this a try and what you think.  I hope you will subscribe to my YouTube channel My Bashful Life.  I share many more organizing and decoration ideas you may enjoy.
